Experience: The temporary transcendence of the mind’s belief in separation. One is a participant, not just an observer,  a co-creator of reality without thought. Believing in chocolate does not provide the experience of chocolate.

The body: A learning device. The embodiment of the ego thought to be “I, me or mine.”  “I know what I know”.  “I feel  sick.”  “I have a headache.” “ I have cancer.”…  The body responds to the thought system.

“For ages, the survival needs of the body have gone unquestioned and been held tantamount. The will of the body to survive has thus been blamed for all actions that have arisen from real and perceived lack. Yet the body has no will and the survival of the true Self is not based upon it.” (ACOL)

Nature:  What has existence.

Natural:  Created by Nature, thus having existence.

Unnatural:  Anything “believed” to exist. A symbol or label for something believed.

Life:  Form that appears to perpetuate itself on a continuum, thus has no beginning within the Context of the Creative Process.

Self:  A quality of God expressing uniqueness. A source of Unconditional Love. A higher level of awareness.

self:  The source of the illusion of identity. The foundation of ideas. A false identity believing in the truth. Single mindedness.  A lower level of awareness. Effort/Chaos.

Continuum: Historically, agreed upon as a continuous sequence of ”events”. Currently underway, is an evolving experience to Accept Revelation and Discovery, rather than Learning.

God:  All that has existence. The source of unconditional Love. Creator.

God’s Purpose:  To manifest Gods creativity.

ACOL: An acronym for the book, The Course of Love. Where ACOL immediately follows a sentence or paragraph in this document, it represents a preceding quote from ACOL.

The first paragraph in the introduction of the book A Course of Love states:

“This course was written for the mind — but only to move the mind to appeal to the heart.  To move it to listen. To move it to accept confusion. To move it to cease its resistance to a mystery, its quest for answers, and to shift its focus to the truth and away from what can be learned only by the mind.”
